AT&T Inc. being the second largest provider of wireless services in the United States of America, with over 81, 6 million wireless subscribers, and more than 150 million total customers. Moreover the company operates as a largest provider of local, long distance telephone services in the United States of America and besides offers digital subscribers line Internet access and digital television. The company was established in 2005, it was founded due to merging of several companies. The newly merged company was named AT&T Inc. and took on T stock trading symbol in NYSE. The company is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

The company was honored with more prices and much more honored one is Technology & Engineering Emmy Awards for development of coaxial cable technology.

At the same time the company offers much more services for its subscribers. AT&T nowadays declared two enhancements to its AT&T Mobile Music service that will allow subscribers to use music for customizing their mobile phones. With service called mSpot’s Make-Ur-Tones, AT&T subscribers have the chance to create their own ringtones using an application being downloaded to their mobile phones. While this service is hardly new, the application gives aspiring musicians a lot of freedom than you might expect. Instead of just offering a selection of MP3 ringtones, users will be able to download actual and the latest tracks and then cut them up to the 30 second ringtone.

Remix, also from mSpot will let you use your handset and AT&T’s network to access music to be saved on your PC. Not only can you play songs using the Remix player but also the track download to your handset’s memory card. Furthermore AT&T has announced a “top-10” chart of the top performing applications based on new sales, offering a closer look at what consumer are doing with their mobile phones besides talking, texting and tweeting via chats. It was reported in AT&T’s earnings, wireless data revenues for the company grew 39 percent year over year. The key contribution for this growth was brought by subscribers that using of mobile applications and games, many of which are available via AT&T Media Mall, AT&T’ multimedia content store.

Mobile applications, especially ringtones will help subscribers customize their handsets and better utilize the capabilities of their devices. And the company makes its best for subscribers to stay connected to their favorite sources for entertainment or have 24/7 access to information and offers applications relevant to the task.
